In 1962, Stanley Cohen isolated a novel protein from the submaxillary glands of mice that promoted eruption of incisors and eyelid opening tin newborn animals. Later studies confirmed that this substance has a stimulator effect on the growth and differentiation of epidermal cells; thus Cohen named the substance Epidermal Growth Factor. Nearly 25 years later, Cohen received a Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for his finding.
According to Cohen's theory, reduction of EGF in skin is the main cause of skin aging. Supplying additional EGF will help repair aging skin and make more exhilarating. At that time, EGF was much more expensive than gold. Thanks to incredible advancement of biological technology, scientists have cloned affordable EGF with high-activity, and thus let everyone can enjoy this cosmetic products. This epic making scientific discovery makes anti-aging dreams come true for the 21st century.
